Crazies Hill pupils get scientific in week of projects

By Laura Herbert
December 06, 2012

Pupils at Crazies Hill Primary School enjoyed a week of science projects.

The children in Reception class studied the environment and made leaf collections, while infant pupils in Linden class focused on healthy eating.

The Wargrave school’s Ashley class made up experiments to test the strength of a range of materials, and the oldest children in Bowsey looked at how food is affected by preservatives and cooked marshmallows in the solar oven they made.

Headteacher Eileen Holmes said: “The prospective parents were guided around the school by children in Bowsey. The pupils are excellent communicators and parents were given a full and informative tour of the school.

“The pupils really enjoyed the activities, and were very imaginative when designing their own experiments. It was definitely a great success.”
