Colleton fundraisers raise cash for IT equipment

By Jon Nurse

Champion fundraisers at The Colleton Primary School have won hundreds of pounds for their school’s IT kit.

The children, who were celebrating Children in Need when our photographer visited, collected the most money out of the village’s schools at the Twyford Village Partnership Fun Run.

Their efforts mean £500 of IT equipment will be donated by Exceedia, a village firm which delivers IT solutions into schools.

More than 360 villagers ran around the grounds of the Piggott School in Wargrave last month and raised more than £3,500 for Twyford Charities Together.

Colleton pupil Charlotte Yeadon was the fastest girl in the eight to 11 age group race.

Headteacher Caroline Norris said: “I’m proud of everyone who entered the one mile challenge and had fun raising money for local causes.”
