Willowbank School submit plans for extra rooms

By Jon Nurse
October 18, 2012

A Woodley infant school has applied for an extension for two new rooms.

Willowbank Infant School in Duffield Road has submitted a planning application to Wokingham Borough Council to build a single-storey front extension that would add a group room, staff work room and extra storage space.

The expansion would infill an existing recess and would not encroach beyond the existing building lines, adding more than 43 square metres to the school’s floor area.

The Department for Education recommends schools have one group room for every 100 pupils and the school is without a such a space. The room would provide an area for staff to prepare and mark pupils’ work.
