St Neot's youngsters hunt for buried treasure

By Jon Nurse
October 09, 2012

Swashbuckling pupils searched for buried treasure as they finished their pirates topic at St Neot’s School.

Children in Year One at the Eversley school came to class in fancy dress for an adventure day on Tuesday, September 25.

They were joined by staff from The Open Box Theatre Company in a quest to find the treasure and discovered what life on board a pirate ship was like.

The children climbed the rigging, scrubbed the decks, walked the plank and followed the clues to find the prize.

Pupil Ollie Rowland said: “Pirate day was fun.”

And classmate Tabitha Adams added: “I loved dressing up as a pirate.”
