Loddon Primary School says goodbye to head Heather Holt

By Jon Nurse
September 12, 2012

A primary school said goodbye to its headteacher last term with a mass balloon release.

Heather Holt, pictured, retired from Loddon Primary School after leading for six years since the joining of the former infant and junior schools.

Chair of governors Stephen Newton said: “During her time the school has seen tremendous change and has made real progress in terms of academic achievement, and also in terms of creating a really good environment in which the children can develop and learn.”

As part of a week of celebrations Year Six pupils, together with the head and a teacher leaving to work in America, attached their names to masses of balloons.

Signalled by a ringing of the school bell, the balloons were released together.
