Students shine Charters School prom
July 24, 2012
Limousines, vintage cars, open top buses and Jeeps ferried pupils to their prom at Charters School.
The Year 11 pupils were photographed on the red carpet as they arrived, then danced the night away – with one students declaring it was the best night of her life.
Staff worked all day to transform the Sunningdale school into a stunning party setting and even the rain could not dampen the glamour of the night.
James Bennie, head of Year 11, said: “It was a truly wonderful evening.
“So many people put a lot of effort into ensuring it was a complete success and many thanks go to Zoe Dyer for all her hard work organising the prom.
“It was a huge pleasure to see 245 students having the time of their lives. It has been a privilege to be head of year to such a fantastic group of young people.”
The prom at the school on Friday, June 29, was the result of months of planning by a committee of pupils and staff.
