Tots train for Olympic glory

A personal trainer inspired tots to get active as part of a season of Olympic-themed activities.

Cindy Baker, of Ocean Sports Therapy in Barkham Ride, visited Bramley Wood Day Nursery on Thursday, June 7, to play games and demonstrate training exercises.

Nursery manager Jen Bourne said: “All year we have been Olympic crazy with lots of work on the games.

“It’s important for the children to know how good it is to keep fit and how wonderful it is having the Olympics in this country.”

Cindy talked to the children about the Olympics and then used their imagination to help demonstrate ways to keep fit.

Jen added: “The children are realising that different people in the community are involved in sport and the Olympics in many ways. They can’t wait for the torch to come through Bracknell.”

Children who attend the nursery are preparing for an Olympic-themed sports day on Wednesday, August 1.
