Temporary classroom application for Winnersh Primary

By Jon Nurse
May 08, 2012

A temporary classroom could help a primary school cope with soaring numbers.

Winnersh Primary School in Grenwood Grove has submitted a planning application for a double modular classroom for the new school year.

The school will take an additional 30 pupils in September.

It has a capacity of 420 pupils, with 418 on roll this January. The proposal will increase the number of pupils to 457, with a maximum of 480 if all years were full.

Traffic worries hold up Winnersh school expansion plans

Plans for a new building were shelved in March over traffic fears.
