Piggott School boost for the environment

March 19, 2012

A Wargrave school has once again proven its green credentials after winning Green Flag Status for the second time.

The Piggott School had to prove it has managed to sustain its environmental work since November 2009 and branch out into new areas to win the flag for another two years.

The school’s green schemes include an eco-committee with two representatives from each tutor group, who meet weekly.

Gillian Maloney, from The Piggott, said: “We are delighted that we have retained our eco-status as a Green Flag School for a further two years and we are determined to continue to protect the precious environment around us.”
