White House School's sensory garden is bedding in

July 07, 2010

A new sensory garden for early years children was officially unveiled by Wokingham MP John Redwood.

White House School in Finchampstead Road welcomed the town’s MP to cut the ribbon to the garden, which will offer activities to children in an outdoor classroom and learning environment.

The path is made from different stones and pebbles, which create different stones as the children move across it.

The planting of herbs and plants is specifically to attract insects and provide children with a range of sights and smells.

Sarah Gillam, headteacher at White House, said: “The children are able to explore this wonderful garden, which will change with the seasons.”

"The path is made from different stones and pebbles, which create different STONES as the children move across it"
