Lights, camera, action for Binfield Primary pupils

Future Kathryn Bigelows and James Camerons got a taste for the silver screen during a week-long project at a village school.
Children at Binfield Primary School in Benetfeld Road spent a week learning about filmmaking with the help of a variety of visitors and activities from Monday, March 8, to Friday, March 12.
Teacher Jill Hanson said: “We’ve never had a film week before but we decided it would be a good way to promote writing.
“We’ve got a filmmaker coming in, Ed Hall, who presents [BBC TV show] To Buy or Not To Buy, and a visitor from [TV and film production company] 20th Century Fox.”
The youngsters were also doing animation at South Hill Park.
