Hatch Ride primary pupils get into acting

A hot topic was brought to life for Crowthorne schoolchildren by a London theatre company.
Actors came to Hatch Ride Primary School in Crowthorne to help year two pupils learn about the Great Fire of London.
The Freshwater Theatre Company helped the six and seven-year-olds play the parts of historical figures involved in the fire, including Samuel Pepys, while others played firefighters, fleeing Londoners and even the fire itself.
Year two teacher Dolly Pinchin said: “We’re doing a topic on famous people in history and part of that is Samuel Pepys and the Great Fire of London. The children loved it.”
