Boys ‘learn lesson’ after drugs arrest

April 29, 2009

Two Winnersh schoolboys caught with cannabis while skipping classes have been reprimanded by police.

The Forest School pupils were caught with the Class B drug at a derelict building in Arbor Lane, Winnersh, during school hours.

The truanting pair were with three other teenagers from the school.

Keith Quine, headteacher at The Forest in Robin Hood Lane, said the school had called in the boys’ parents after the arrest and the pupils have since been behaving well.

Mr Quine said: “The boys have since had unblemished records, which suggests they have got the message in terms of attendance at school, as well as what they were up to when they were not at school.”

Both the teenagers were issued with a reprimand by police on Saturday, April 18.

They were caught by a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) on Wednesday, March 18.
