Swapping pens for 10-pin

30/ 9/2008

A bowling alley is to use a striking new plan to inject fun into schoolchildren’s lessons.

Hollywood Bowl has special packs aimed at children aged seven to 11 to learn while enjoying 10-pin bowling.

Now the alley is looking for a school to come forward to pilot the scheme before the packs are made widely available.

Glynn Wallis, manager of the Skimped Hill Lane centre, said: “We hope that, by bringing the topic into the classroom through these education packs, we can help make subjects such as maths and English more enjoyable.”

Teachers should email schoolspack@haslimanntaylor.com.
