MP hits out at ‘unfair’ homes plan

Lewis Rudd

Government plans to have 623 homes built in Wokingham annually has been labelled as “unfair” by an MP.

Theresa May, whose Maidenhead constituency covers Twyford, Hurst, Sonning, Charvil and parts of north Woodley, has attacked the proposals in the South East Plan.

Hazel Blears, secretary of state for communities and local government, has made approved changes to the plan, which would see the borough’s annual housing numbers increase from 523 to 623.
