‘Beautiful part of the world keeps drawing me back’

Following in the footsteps of walking romantic Alfred Wainwright, JAMES ASHFORD set off to conquer some more of the many routes of the picturesque Lake District.

He certainly earned a good pint of Black Sheep ale.

   it is indeed a very beautiful part of the world - one of the best - and James, if you want any, I have some photos of you as a cadet in the Lakes, many, many years ago! I also keep going back and infact still use that same Coniston campsite. Mat.
