Bargain baby gear at NCT sale

January 25, 2011

Families with little ones can stock up on discount baby clothes at a nearly new sale in Woodley.

The Woodley branch of the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) is holding a spring sale at Christ Church Hall in Crockhamwell Road, on Saturday, February 26, from 2pm.

And those feeling the pinch after Christmas can make some extra cash by selling old baby clothes and toys at the event.

Goods must be in excellent condition and sellers will keep up to 70 per cent of the proceeds from the sale.

The remaining money will go to the NCT which supports parents through pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.

Timothy Todhunter, branch fundraising manager, said: “With VAT rising and other benefits being cut NCT nearly new sales are a win-win situation for families.

“Parents with surplus baby goods can sell them to make some extra cash while mums and dads-to-be can find great bargains while funding NCT’s vital charity work across the UK.”

NCT members can get a sneak peak of the items on offer if they show up at 1.45pm with their membership card.

People wishing to sell items or help on the day should call the team on 0844 243 6246.
