Couple open dream Boutiqu

Fashion fans and race-goers looking for the perfect Ascot outfit have a new outlet to visit now an independent clothes shop has opened in Bracknell town centre.

Boutiqu, in Charles Square, is open for business, offering clothes and accessories for men, women and children.

Local couple Nicky and Rob Boobyer had always dreamed of running a business together so, when their long commutes started to take their toll, they decided to take the plunge and open their own dream shop in Bracknell.

Living in Warfield, the couple know the local area well, and feel sure that their new fashion boutique Boutiqu, pronounced Boutique You, will be a highly successful addition to the town centre.

The shop is already stocked with items from brands such as Planet, Armani, Monsoon, Max Mara and Jaques Vert.

Nicky, formerly an HR and training manager, and Rob, who previously worked in the leisure industry, were keen to do something that continued high levels of people contact.

They are very focused on providing excellent levels of personal service, whether you are a buying customer or have an item that you would like to sell.

Nicky said: “We had been talking for ages about running a business together but were searching for the right idea.

“We think that Bracknell town centre has a fabulous catchment area which will ensure a steady flow of fashion items in and out of the store.”

Boutiqu works in two ways. Firstly customers can come in and browse the rails of ‘one-off’ pre-loved clothes or the carefully selected range of brand new items, and purchase in the usual way.

Secondly, customers can bring in their own pre-loved items to the shop for Boutiqu to sell.

Customers will get up to 50 per cent of the sale price.

Rob Morris, general manager at Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, said: “It is fantastic to have a shop like Boutiqu open up in Bracknell and add a different type of fashion offer in the town centre.”

For more information, drop into the shop at 25 Charles Square or visit www.boutiqu.co.uk

I have to admit I have no clue how you pronounce the name either ;o)

I wish them all the best - let's hope they prosper in the face of all the hooey coming from BRP and chums.

   Sorry Winstanley...

Good on them for starting a Business and contributing to the town. Hopefully the store will do well and down the line offer employment opportunities too.

PS, could have picked a better name, or rather, a better way of writing it.

Independent retailers hold the key to Bracknell's regeneration and ought to be supported.

Shame contributors see fit to pick holes rather than offer positivity and best wishes.

How typical.

What a pity they couldn't choose a name that had an obvious pronunciation and correctly spelt the words from which it was constructed. What chance do our children have of learning to spell correctly with examples like this?
