This season’s hot new trends were on display at The Oracle over the weekend in a series of high-energy catwalk shows.

Models showcased clothing by big-name brands including French Connection, Zara, Oasis and Reiss, when they took to the runway between Friday and Sunday in a bid to inspire shoppers to get their wardrobe ready for spring and summer.

The shows were part of the shopping centre’s Fashion Week which kicked off on Monday, April 23, with ‘under the sea’ and ‘alternative garden party’ trends being put on display around the leisure and retail complex.

Visitors to The Oracle were also able to take advantage of experts offering free beauty, style and fashion tips, including skincare and mini makeovers, as well as perfume sampling and professional colour consultations.

Talking about the event, Sam French, marketing communications manager at shopping centre, said: “It was so amazing. We had a brilliant weekend and the whole week was really good as well.

“It was a really incredible event and it definitely gained momentum towards the end of the week.

“I think it’s brilliant that Reading does an activity like this.”
