Jharie Edwards is through to the top 50 in the Teen Queen finals

Teen Queen Jharie needs your vote

A Calcot teenager with a head for figures is in the top 50 in the Teen Queen finals.

Jharie Edwards, 16, of Evergreen Drive, was one of 9,500 entrants in the online beauty pageant.

She has been chosen in the final 50 up for a public vote online.

Jharie goes to Little Heath School in Tilehurst and is taking her A-levels in business and applied science.

She hopes to become an accountant but has always nurtured a desire to enter a beauty pageant.

“It is something I have always wanted to do and people have said to me that I should try it, “ she said.

“So when I saw this competition, I thought I would have a go. I didn’t think I would get this far.”

Jharie babes; they are only hating because you were blessed with GOOD LOOKS & clearly they weren't. Chin up darling & when you are earning big bucks; travelling the world; nice car; nice house; handsome partner; stunning kids & living the lfestyle they dream of. They can think back to this moment & realise why they never achieved any of that; because they decided to sit in front of their computer screens giving it large over the keyboard & not chasing their goals. Keep your head held high; stay focused & you will go far. You have people backing you & supporting you every step of the way & i will proudly admit i am one of them. Love you chick; <3

Gosh do you guys really have nothing better to do then sit in your computer chairs; commenting on young girls lifes like you know them? You lot connecting to her life like your part of the wifi system. She is in education; yet because god gave her GOOD LOOKS you feel the need to comment slagging her off. She is not fake that is natural beauty; she is a model & when you see her making it big sit their & remember you called her sad; so when she walks past you sitting in doorways begging her for loose change, she can laugh in your face. Because remember 'insulting' someone; doesn't make you any better! She entered the competition for some fun & eventually got into the top 50; does that not tell you something? Well that is what i thought keep your shxt infested comments to yourself & choke on it; they are not interesting nor wanted.

I really do feel sorry for people who feel they have to do things like this. It's quite sad really. Why doesn't she just go and marry a footballer instead?
