Yoga salutation to stop sex trafficking

By Linda Fort
March 22, 2010

More than 50 yoga enthusiasts made a salutation to the sun on Sunday, March 14 to raise cash for an Indian charity.

The Yoga Stops Traffic event at The University of Reading was one of 60 across the world on the same day to raise funds for Odanadi which opposes human trafficking in the sex trade.

Yoga instructor Sophie Cleere organised the event when the people taking part made 108 salutation to the sun yoga moves.

She said: “It was a very successful event. I was really pleased. It went really well.

“We had about 50 people there which was really good.”

So far the day has raised more than £700 for the good cause.

Anyone who would like to know more about the charity can visit www.odanadi-uk.org.

So I said to Sophie Cleere "Can you teach me Yoga?". She said "How flexible are you?". I said "I can't make Tuesdays".
