Great chance to sample top chef’s British menu
April 18, 2012
Fans of the Great British Menu can taste dishes from the Scottish heat of the competition at a Shinfield restaurant.
Alan Murchison, executive chef at L’ortolan, which has one Michelin star, will cook dishes he has entered for the contest on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from next week.
His menu for the BBC Two show includes duck terrine and pineapple and barbecued veal with macaroni and cheese. Cost is £55 per person. This year’s Great British Menu competitors are fighting to cook for Olympians at a banquet.
