Sahara Bar set to reopen

A town centre bar forced to close because of a ‘technical’ problem with its licence has reopened.

Sahara Bar, in Gun Street, closed suddenly in July while it applied to Reading Borough Council for a new liquor licence.

The new licence has now been approved and the venue will also offer a new Mojito Lounge, due to open today. The main bar has been redecorated during the seven-week closure and a new drinks menu has been introduced.

Sahara’s managing director Ciaran McErlean said: “The whole team has been busy making enhancements and now it’s exciting to share these.”

   Its OK if you have 20-30 minutes spare to stand at the bar when ordering each drink.
