Perfect summer blend at Real Ale and Jazz Festival

July 06, 2010

What can be better on a summer evening than enjoying a pint while listening to some cool jazz?

getreading is giving you the chance to do just that at the 23rd Real Ale and Jazz Festival (RAAJ) at Christchurch Meadow, Caversham from Thursday, July 15 to Saturday, July 17.

We are offering 15 lucky readers the chance to win a pair of tickets for the festival on Friday, July 16.

The RAAJ festival has barrel loads of local beer on offer with extended opening times on Saturday. And there’s more than just ale and jazz with lager, cider, wine and champagne too.

If you’re in need of some more susbstantial sustenance tuck into the hog roast or enjoy the ever popular BBQ where sausages and burgers will be cooked up with vegetarian options available.

Great music comes from The Old Thumper Jazzband and The Jive Aces on Thursday, The Andy Cooper Top Six and Laura B and The Moonlighters on Friday and The Tim Dawes Band, The Artemis All Stars and The Red Stripe Band on Saturday.

Ticket prices range from £15 to £20 on the door or from £12 to £15 in advance.

For more information and to book, with details of discounts available, go to www.raaj.info.

To enter, just tell us where in Caversham the festival is taking place.
