Six new tenants are moving in to Green Park creating about 100 jobs, its new owner has announced.

Oxford Properties bought the huge South Reading business park from PRUPIM in November last year.

A fresh team of consultants to “reinvigorate” the park and expand occupancy was revealed last week and the new lettings were also unveiled.

Chris Carter Keall, vice president and head of the Green Park team at Oxford Properties, said: “We have been delighted by the interest from new and renewing occupiers during our first few months at Green Park.”

The new arrivals are the Chubb group of insurance companies, Raglan Housing Association, mobile radio designer and supplier Sepura, Salcon Green Energy, engineering consultancy Defence Support Solutions and insurance broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson.

Clinical research organisation PRA International is also due to move into its new 43,000sq ft offices, in South Oak Way, with about 130 staff this week, after signing a deal last year.

Mr Carter Keall said: “We hope to be able to announce further exciting new occupiers, amenities and asset management initiatives shortly.”

The new arrivals will bring the number of employees at Green Park to about 5,000 and the new owner is hoping to introduce more amenities.

The 190-acre park is already home to Cisco Systems, Symantec, Thames Water and Quintiles, and Mr Carter Keall is confident it will remain a sought-after location even with more office developments on the cards around Reading Station.

He said: “I think the in-town and out-of-town market is very separate within Reading.

“What our park offers is an environment which is incredibly impressive in a location, benefitting from its proximity to the motorway.

“The bus service in and out of town helps tremendously so we can genuinely compete against the town centre on lettings.”

Mr Carter Keall is also keen to build up relationships with London Irish Rugby Club and Reading FC who, he feels, will help bring more investment into the town following their promotion to the Premier League.

He said: “It’s enormously positive for the town and our relationship with Madejski Stadium, Sir John Madejski and the team is going to be very important.”

The new team of consultants for the park includes letting agencies DTZ, Cushman & Wakefield and Campbell Gordon.

Also in the line-up is branding agency Further, communications consultancy Fishburn Hedges and estates management company Broadgate Estates.
