Dani Harmer to star in Hexagon panto

March 13, 2013

Tracy Beaker and Strictly Come Dancing favourite Dani Harmer will star in this year’s panto at The Hexagon.

The Bracknell-born actress will play the role of Princess Tamara in Jack and the Beanstalk from December 7 to January 5.

Panto producers Imagine Theatre return to The Hexagon for the fourth year with Jack and the Beanstalk, following a record-breaking run of Beauty and the Beast last year.

“We are thrilled that Dani is joining the Hexagon panto cast this Christmas,” says Steve Boden, managing director at Imagine Theatre.

"She has a massive fan base from her portrayal of Tracy Beaker watched by millions of children worldwide. And of course, most recently she has shown us what a fabulous dancer she is in the phenomenon Strictly Come Dancing where she made it through to the final.

"We work really hard to bring the Reading audiences some of the best stars around and Dani fits that bill perfectly.”

Last year’s panto was a huge success with more than 40,000 people going along to watch CBeebies favourite Justin Fletcher and ‘Allo ‘Allo star Vicky Michelle. Organisers are hoping this year will be just as popular with Dani at the helm.

Opening weekend tickets for Jack and the Beanstalk are £14.50, all other tickets are £18.50. To book visit www.readingarts.com or call the box office on (0118) 960 6060.

Further cast announcements for will be made in the coming months so keep an eye out in 24Seven!
