Rave culture comes to South Hill Park

A haze of neon lights and nightclub beats will arrive at a Bracknell theatre next week.
Theatre company Paines Plough, the Birmingham Repertory Theatre and Roundhouse productions are bringing their critically acclaimed play Wasted to South Hill Park.
Wasted follows three friends – Ted, Danny and Charlotte – through the day that they won’t forget. Stuck in the middle of an unforgiving world, the trio make a decision to change their lives.
Instilled by an invigorating score and the directorial talent of James Grieve, the play is a roller-coaster of despair, regret and energised views on urban society.
Playwright Kate Tempest takes the audience on a neon journey through South London’s cafes, raves and parks as the three friends struggle to hold on to their youth with difficulty.
Currently making a huge dent in the UK hip-hop scene with her band Sound of Rum, this is Kate Tempest’s first play and showcases her trademark emotional intensity.
