Quince Players are selling seats fast
December 08, 2010
Sunninghill can look forward to a sell-out panto, thanks to its local theatre group
A local amateur theatre company has received an early Christmas present in the form of full houses.
The Quince Players will be presenting their version of the pantomime Aladdin in January, and so far they have sold more than 1,100 tickets – nearly 70 per cent of the total available.
The Sunninghill-based theatre group now expect to have sold out for every show long before the opening night on January 13.
Robin Newell, the Quince Players chairman, has been stunned by the speed in which tickets have sold.
“I can only think that people know that the Quince Players will offer a great evening’s entertainment for a very reasonable ticket price,” he says.
- Aladdin will be performed at the Cordes Hall, Sunninghill from Thursday, January 13 to Sunday, January 16 and then again from Wednesday, January 19 to Saturday, January 22.
Tickets are £10 each but, for groups of five or more, a special group saver ticket reduces the price to £8 each.
