Cutlery Wars

October 20, 2008

A Children's play with no songs, no joining in and no happy ending will be performed at South Street Arts Centre on Saturday.

Cutlery Wars is an experimental, satirical black comedy for children over seven – and anyone who went to school.

Two school friends face their end of school exams and, through messing about with the war on terror, foxhunting and whether Humpty Dumpty was an egg, they explore what it means to grow up, and discover the nature friendship, betrayal and fighting spoons.

It’s been written and directed by James Campbell – the creator of Comedy 4 Kids. He promises that it might make your children ask questions that you don’t know how to answer.

The show is performed at 2pm on Saturday. For more details, call (0118) 960 6060 or log on to www.readingarts.com.
