BRIDES AND BROTHERS MARRY WELL ON STAGE

By Kaylee Close

AS I drove to the New Victoria Theatre, I had images running through my head of the original 1954 MGM movie.
As a fan of the film, I was eager to see if the theatre adaptation could hold a candle to the
original.
The story starts with Adam Pontipee going to town to fetch a wife. There he meets Milly, a cook at the town saloon – and after a five second courtship she agrees to marry him.
