Just Between Ourselves, at The Mill at Sonning, Tuesday, January 13 to Saturday, February 21, 2004
THE MILL at Sonning’s first production of the New Year will be Alan Ayckbourn’s Just Between Ourselves.
Directed by Robin Herford, the play follows Dennis, an obsessive but inefficient handyman who lives with his wife Vera and mother Marjorie.
Pottering away in his garage attempting to repair various gadgets including an unused car, he is blissfully unaware of the tensions growing between the two women in his life. Into this sad yet hilarious domestic scene walk bumbling Neil and his wife Pam, potential customers for the old car.
They all find Dennis the perfect listener for their personal problems and he cheerfully hands out advice with disastrous yet comic results.
Starring Merelina Kendall, Lesley Meade, Jon Strickland, Ian Targett and Julie Teal, the play runs from January 13 to February 21. Call the box office on (0118) 969 8000.
