A free art exhibition will be showcasing the work of 10 talented artists from in and around Wokingham.
Ten More Artists will be running at the More Arts Gallery in Peach Street from today until Saturday, July 28, with a colourful range of exhibits on display.
“I do water colours, acrylics and oils,” said Liz Botten, one of the artists who will be exhibiting.
“A couple of others do jewellery and that kind of thing and we have card making as well.”
For the exhibition the artists have created work showing their views on the world around us using a variety of mediums, including painting and crafts.
The artists who will have work on display alongside Liz are Marion Barter, Clare Buchta, Sue Dance, Anita Douglas, Thelma Evans, George Gallocker, Rod Hawkins, David Leon and Morryce Maddams.
The collection includes pieces featuring familiar Wokingham landmarks as well as portraits, landscapes and animals.
More Arts, which was established to enhance the creative arts, provides a gallery space for emerging talents in the area and Liz said the group was delighted to be offered a slot.
“Some of us already belong to a group, but we didn’t have a space to show new work,” she said.
“We decided to have an open exhibition for the group and other members to share our work with the public.”
- Ten More Artists is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
