Twilight triumph for East Reading artist

By Mike Pyle
November 02, 2011

An East Reading artist has been selected to show one of his works at a London exhibition celebrating unique pieces.

The work by Bulmershe Road man Tommy McMahon is named Shifting 1 – Twilight and it will be displayed at the Mall Galleries as part of the ING Discerning Eye Exhibition which starts later this month.

Mr McMahon’s piece is part of a series which he says “represents a poetic interpretation of shape shifting within cultures through the juxtaposition of the sexually aroused male and the identity of the beast within”.

The free Discerning Eye Exhibition runs at the Mall Galleries near Charing Cross from Thursday, November 10, to Sunday, November 20. For more information visit www.discerningeye.org.
