Jazz legend Kenny Ball jives along to South Hill Park

By Caroline Cook
December 06, 2012

A jazz legend will be tooting and crooning his way through a spectacular concert in Bracknell.

Kenny Ball will be appearing with his Jazzmen at South Hill Park for one night only on Thursday, December 20.

The musician, who played with his band at the wedding reception of Prince Charles and Lady Diana, will be performing a selection of jazz classics.

Kenny has been in the music business for more than 50 years and has played with the Jazzmen since 1960 when they had their first hit with Samantha.

After their debut the band produced hit after hit, clocking up 14 top 30 records, even eclipsing the number of chart positions held by Kenny’s idol, Louis Armstrong.

As well as playing in concerts around the UK and USA, the band also spent four years as house band on The Morecambe and Wise Show and Saturday Night at the Mill.

n Tickets are £21, members and concessions £19, and under 35s £20.

To book call the box office or for more details visit www.southhillpark.org.uk.
