Little T’s ready for the big time?

April 01, 2011

This is rapper Little T who is hoping to emulate the success of Arborfield X Factor star Danyl Johnson when he auditions in front of the judges for the TV talent show on Sunday.

The 24-year-old musician from Overdown Road, Tilehurst, will be out to impress the judges in front of a live audience at the ExCeL London.

The warehouse operative will be performing Invincible by Brit award-winning rapper Tinie Tempah and is confident he has what it takes to win the competition and take the music world by storm.

Little T, also known as Lewis Chapple, who lists Michael Jackson, 2Pac and Chipmunk among his inspirations, reckons he could be the British answer to Eminem.

He told getreading his street name used to be Turtle but because of his stature he changed it to Little T, and while he dreams of hitting the big time he also wants a better life for his two-year-old daughter Tori-Lei.

His father left him not long after he was born and he readily admits to having been in trouble with the law, but is determined to turn his life around.

The former Denefield pupil said: “I’ve always been street and versatile and can do all sorts, but most of all they are looking for the likeable factor and I’m told I’ve got that. My singing is all right but it’s mainly rapping I am good at.

“That is what they said when I first went up there and my friends and family have said that as well. I reckon I’ve got a good chance. I’ve got the confidence – nerves aren’t a part of me. Anything can happen at the end of the day.”

Those photos are so very (sub)urban street.

I often wondered how the really deluded individuals ever got on TV without friends and family warning them it would be a mistake. And now I've read the comments from his friends, I realise it's because the people around these headcases are also slightly nuts.

Should make for hilarious TV anyway.

@Brad - "To each individual that has made derogatory comments, just because you aren't looking for bigger and better things in your life and he is doesn't make him a vagina."

It's funny because it's untrue! In fact I'd go as far as to say he's quite a big one....

Well gstar (isn't that some kind of primark chic) certainly the homophobic nature of the genre is in your incomprehensible reply. All you need now is the calling women ho's and f**k the police and you have the basis of 99% of the "artform".

   Something like this Whitespirit:

"To each individual that has made derogatory comments, just because you aren't looking for bigger and better things in your life and he is doesn't make him a vagina. I know him very well, and he has always been a good day from the beginning of our friendship until now. And just so you balls of offal, pork and herbs know, he got through the regional auditions with positive comments from all of the judges, so you were all incorrect in your assumptions. So go and cry about it because you don't have any talent, and he has."

What gstar doesn't realise, is that in the regional auditions they let through those with talent, and those complete muppets who make the initial epsiodes of the show worth watching - to laugh at! Little T is clearly the latter...and I honestly can't wait to see it! If he really had ANY talent, he'd have some music on YouTube / Facebook / Twitter / MySpace...but he has none, just some stupid pictures on GetReading flexing his, umm, bones.

Lardy, so what if he has entered a reality show? I mean really. Sad enough that someone really thinks the way out for them is to enter one of these moronic shows but he has obviously then thought it was a good idea to go to the local paper to advertise this fact.

He is now fair game afaic.

If he had simply done what Adele, for example, did and gigged his way to the top then I would be applauding him quite frankly. He didn't. Another essentially talentless no-mark who can't even be bothered to put in the hard work needed to turn his life into something. Forget him, in 12 months he will be as well known as Danyl is, and justifiably so.

Once again the word hatred gets misused by todays youth. If a lot more people had bothered at school, they wouldn't have to aspire to be "reality" stars. The government has done next to nothing to help thise people, either. No wonder we have five million or more not working.

omg I thought this was a wind up :-)

fair play to him, but he should know that just because someone nicked his shirt buttons it doesn't justify nicking an old ladies hat.

two wrongs don't make a right.

Except, it would appear, drive a fork-lift truck. Probably quite handy with a pallet-truck, though.
