Concert unites Wokingham Choral Society & Brandenburg Sinfonia

November 08, 2010

Wokingham Choral Society will take to the stage with its friends from the famous Brandenburg Sinfonia during a concert to be held in Crowthorne later this month.

The two choirs will perform Haydn’s Creation at a joint concert  hosted by the choral society at Wellington College, off Dukes Ride, on Saturday, November 20.

The two groups are no strangers to each other, having both performed at St Martin-in-the-Fields in London around five years ago.

The Brandenburg Sinfonia regularly performs around the capital, most notably at the Barbican Halls, Royal Albert Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Fairfield Hall and St John’s Smith Square.

The orchestra is said to be one of the most dynamically versatile musical organisations in the country, and is renowned for its special quality of sound and poised vivacity in performance.

Tickets for the show, which begins at 7.30pm, are priced at £15 and can be purchased by calling (0118) 934 0283. They can also be obtained from Bookends in Peach Street, Wokingham.
