Steve Gadd postpones Hexagon performance

April 16, 2010

Because of the travel disruption caused by the volcanic eruption in Iceland, Steve Gadd is unable to fly into the UK, and has postponed his UK dates

This has has led to the cancellation of 'Mission from Gadd' at The Hexagon, Reading on Monday, April 19.

All other European dates in the ‘Mission From Gadd’ at this stage remain unaffected.

Everyone involved in the shows including Steve Gadd are deeply disappointed by the postponement however there are simply no alternatives and this announcement aims to give as much warning to fans as possible.

Steve is determined to perform in the UK and Ireland as part of his world wide tour and is now in the middle of rescheduling the dates.

Details as soon as possible. If you wish to attend the rescheduled dates (TBC) please keep your original tickets, however if you wish to have a refund on your ticket all venues have agreed that they will refund in full, please contact venue box offices for more information.

For further announcements on the rescheduled dates for the tour and signing sessions please visit www.Yamahadownload.com or www.Zildjian.com

Daniel Small. You don't half talk rubbish fella! You wrote all that guff because sombody asked who Steve Gadd was! I don't know who he is and frankly if his performances appeal people like yourself, I'm glad I'm as "blinkered" and "ignorant and Mr Grumpy. The day I become as arrogant as you Mr Small is the day I end it all.

(no doubt a boy as clever as yourself will pick out all the spelling and grammar mistakes in my post. Crack one off kid)

That comment from Grumpy illustrates just how blinkered some people are even though they felt the need to contribute a comment about someone unknown to them. This just simply epitomises the musical ignorance of the masses. If say, J-Lo or Britney was mentioned, there would be many comments and prove the sad reflection of the masses prefering to dine on sexed-up, profanity-ridden, "chavesque" rubbish we are forced to hear every day.

Steve Gadd trancended the drums into multi musical tastes and genres, not just soul, but jazz, indie and even tribal. It's just a sorrowful shame to see so many people uneducated in such music.

Steve Gadd one of the most recorded sessionist drummers throughout the soul-funk era of the 70s and played for everyone from Sir Paul to Stevie Wonder. And if you're a fan of the drums you should be ashamed you've never heard of him!

Dunno, but hope he isn't related to the other infamous Gadd.
