Faith No More to appear at Reading Festival

June 15, 2009

A surprise headline act for Reading Festival has been announced as US 90s band Faith No More confirm their appearance.

The historic rock band who made their name with singer Mike Patton will be headlining the NME/Radio One Stage on Friday August 28.

Tom Freeman, Festival Republic spokesman, said: “We said that Reading would have the odd surprise left for you despite presenting the best festival line-up of 2009 and they don’t come much bigger than this one.

“Faith No More are without doubt one of the most important bands in the history of rock and their disbandment in 1998 was a sad moment for fans worldwide but their reformation this year and now this show is sure to put smiles on not just those faces but the faces of everyone over the weekend.

“The US legends guarantee an amazing moment in the tent so be sure to turn up early to ensure you get to see this very special show.”

Get In ! I was thinking that the Friday night line-up for Radio 1 stage was looking a bit light - a nice alternative to KoL on the main stage
