Alex Louise brings acoustic charm to GuilFest

By Mark Miseldine
July 11, 2012

Alex Louise, a singer songwriter who grew up in the beautiful village of Shere, is performing at GuilFest 2012.

After completing secondary school at Glebelands in Cranleigh, local girl Alex went on to study a diploma at The Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in Guildford for a year, before moving to Brighton to continue her studies at Brighton Institute of Modern Music.

Since graduating, she moved to London to write and record her self titled EP Alex Louise.

She was recently invited to perform at the Pia Michi Prom 2012 event, a launch party and catwalk show – mingling among celebrities as varied as Amy Childs, Vanessa Feltz, Jeffrey Archer and models such as Nicola Mclean.

Alex performed three songs including her interpretation of These Boots Were Made For Walking by Nancy Sinatra.

Alex’s EP was released on Monday, and she will be performing songs from it at the GuilFest gig, where it will be on sale on the day.
