Local talent will be filling the BBC Introducing Stage this year with the latest line-up announcement made last night.
Amys Ghost, Midi Midis and Peers are all bands from Reading who will be playing to their home crowds on the stage for new acts this August Bank Holiday weekend.
Berkshire-based Mr Fogg will also play the stage.
The BBC Introducing Stage is in its third year and showcases the hottest new talent to the thousands of music lovers filling the site at Little John’s Farm in less than a month.
Amys Ghost, fronted by local girl Amy Barton, will be performing at Reading on Friday. She said: “We are all so excited and happy to be playing at Reading Festival. We’ve had great support from BBC Introducing so far and would like to thank Jenny Minard from BBC Berks The Session for playing our tracks as well as the local press in Reading for helping get our name out there.
“It’s a huge compliment to be asked especially since we've only been together for a year. We’re planning some busking and flyering to try and get as many people as possible along to see us perform. You can expect the performance to be our most spectacular yet.”
