Okay, so the argument that folk music isn’t just weirdy-beardy blokes strumming battered old guitars in their goat-hair socks still rings true. But even today, say ‘folk’ and the misinformed among us do indeed conjure up something similar to that aforementioned image.

Cue, then, a new monthly night launching on Thursday at South Hill Park arts centre called Folking Live Bracknell, guaranteed to blast away the stereotype once and for all.
