Everyone needs the details of a good takeaway on the fridge door.

Whatever the occasion - celebration, commiseration or just sheer exhaustion when you can’t be bothered to cook - a good curry always hit the spot and Sultan Express will bring you a spicy feast in no time at all.

Home delivery is free, or you can collect from the Station Road takeaway (right opposite the railway station) and if you do call in, your wait will not be boring.

The kitchens are open plan so you can watch the talented chefs prepare your food, which is guaranteed to get your taste buds tingling in anticipation!

If you want a little help with planning your meal, the Sultan Express offers set menus for one, two or a family.

But if you are making your own selection, you will find all your favourites and more than a few new temptations – for example, a recent addition to the list of specialities of the house is Til Ki Machli, chunks of seasonal fish char-grilled with boiled sesame seeds and flavoured with dried crushed fenugreek.

A very welcome delivery to The Wokingham Times offices recently gave us all the chance to check out standards and the speed with which dishes emptied said it all.

A mixed starter of chicken and lamb tikka, sheek kebab and tandoori fish whetted all appetites nicely, while chicken biryani delicately flavoured with fresh mint brought murmurs of appreciation from all.

Chicken tikka massala is the nation’s favourite and Sultan Express serves up a creamy and spicy hit.

Balti lamb was a rich contrast, especially when the lean and tender meat was eaten with crisp vegetable samosas to give a little bite.

Huge fluffy nan breads were perfect for mopping up the mouth-watering sauces and the final salute has to go to the Bombay aloo – the potatoes were soft and floury and cooked with herbs and spices to die for.

If there is an award for Bombay aloo, that served up by Sultan Express is a strong contender for the crown!
