According to The Hollywood Reporter, an American production company is developing the movie A Semester Abroad for the actress.

Gellar’s Buffy series is nearing the end of its run and the star says she wants to focus on feature films.

A Semester Abroad is a fish-out-of-water

comedy which follows a tough girl from Queens, New York on a scholarship to an elite London university.

Once there, her no-nonsense demeanour puts her at odds with the stuffy students and teachers.

Gellar and her fiancé FREDDY PRINZE JR are currently starring in action movie Scooby-Doo as Fred and Daphne.

The film also stars MATTHEW LILLARD as Shaggy and LINDA CARDELLINI as Velma.
