Alex Polizzi: The Fixer
This is the second episode of The Fixer, a show in which terrifying entrepreneur Alex Polizzi storms in and turns around flagging businesses before it's too late.
In this one, she goes to a family portrait photo business run by a mum and her three daughters.
You might think that sounds quite pleasant, but things aren't going well.
Mum Andrea Lane is the photographer and her daughters do the rest.
Except financial management is not a strong point, it seems renting a studio and paying her daughters means poor old Andrea makes nothing from the business at all.
Of course, working with your kids causes all sorts of problems and we should see an interesting conflict between a ruthless business mentality and trying to keep a decent family relationship.
Well, Alex isn't part of the family, and is interested in one thing - saving the business.
No doubt she'll steam in, sort the somewhat lazy daughters out and roll off into the sunset.
Is it wrong there's part of me that would like to see these super-confident business types march in, change everything, tell everyone what to do and then for all of their ideas to be terrible and the business to be saved by the hapless owner?
