Maybe if they hadn't whinged so much about not making the Olympics and painting themselves as losers from the start they may have done better, no not really they were never going to win.

I’m going to buy myself a pony, teach it a trick and enter next year.

The winning act gets a slot in the Royal Variety performance, don't they? in which case, a 3-minute act should be fine...

And it's talent found within Britain, you don't have to be British to enter. That wouldn't be legal, I should think.

Aquabatiques and the dog were novelty acts. They're one trick ponies. They are ok as an act within a show but unlike a singing act they can never be a stand alone act capable of keeping an audience entertained for longer than a few minutes. I think BGT needs to rethink its title with so many non British acts this year.

dodger, I think your comment is sexist and should be removed! I bet you're a real oil painting yourself !

PoneRana, the swimmers were never going to win. It's a good act but not a great act and Pudsey and the two opera singers had a wider appeal and their performances were spell binding.

Aquabatiques lost out because their performance in the final was poor. Their sychronisation both with each other and the music was often non-existent and much of their performance was four individual solos rather than a quartet. They certainly lost the votes of my family which includes two qualified judges and an ex-England junior international.

It is a pity that their tank wasn't constructed in a way that allowed the audience to see the surface of the water as one of the main elements of synchronised swimming concerns the body positions in relation to the surface
