Race to see Ayrton Senna film

June 10, 2011

A new film telling the life story Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna has been released.

The biopic of the motor racing legend, who lived in Chelsea Close, Tilehurst, in the 1980s and has a street named after him in the town, is directed by Asif Capadia.

The movie has received rave reviews and uses archive footage to follow his journey from his birth in Santana, Brazil, to his untimely death during the San Marino Grand Prix at Imola in 1994.

I don't have memories of his time in Reading, but I do remember exactly where I was when this legend died.
