Reading’s talent is showing it has staying power as X Factor finalist Danyl Johnson and Strictly’s Ricky Whittle wowed the judges for another week.

Danyl, 27, from Arborfield received positive comments from the ITV judges after performing We Are The Champions in show’s Queen week.

Dannii Mingoue said it was his best performance in the live shows.

And after the show Louis Walsh said Danyl’s performance was one of the best of the night.

He was put through to next week’s competition by the public vote.

Burghfield Common boy Ricky got 35 out of 40 for his jive in Saturday’s BBC show.

While the two talented lads make their hometown proud, the jungle has welcomed another local lass into the reality television fold as Lucy Benjamin stars in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here.

The Reading-born ex-Eastender actress skydived into the Australian jungle last night ready to take on Bush Tucker Trials and sleeping under the stars.
