Ian’s made to Waite on TV dance show

29/ 9/2008

It was nearly curtains for Reading’s Strictly Come Dancing Star Ian Waite as he and model partner Jodie Kidd found themselves in the bottom two yesterday.

Despite scoring a respectable 25 out of 40 from the judges in Saturday’s show on BBC1, putting them in fifth place, the statuesque pair were in the bottom two once viewers votes were added.

They faced a dance-off with former EastEnder Gillian Taylforth and Anton du Beke where they had to perform their foxtrot again to be saved by the judges.

Impressed with the dance the second-time round, all four judges voted to keep Ian and Jodie in the show.

Judge Craig Revel Horwood praised the dance, saying: “It was all showbiz, flair and high kicks.”

How did you rate the pair?

I am proud to be able to claim that I have never watched the thing and neither, despite being flooded with fluff stories like this in every form of media, do I ever anticipate doing so. It's hard work keeping the "celebrity" avalanche at bay but so far I'm managing to stand firm.
