Rappers looking for a big break will take to the stage at Bracknell’s annual King of the Mic competition next week.

Music and video production company Raw Linx is holdings its fourth annual contest to find fresh, unsigned talent at South Hill Park on Thursday, November 29.

Each contestant will perform one of their own tracks using a backing CD and perform their own lyrics to an instrumental played by live band Congakeys.

Sanjay Limbachya, from Raw Linx, said: “We started the King of the Mic competition in 2009 to find acts to work with, and it turns out there is an abundance of good talent out there.

“The event is geared towards the discovery of good talent with longevity and determination to succeed.”

As well as the competition there will be guest acts including Mr Faizer, Sabrina Bell who won the competition last year, Mister ST, 2010 winner MCX, and Gibbo.

The winner will get £200, a photo and video shoot and free studio time plus support from the Raw Linx for a year.

All profits from the night are donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
