Sup some real ales at The Crispin's real ale festival
By Jon NurseOctober 26, 2012
The new management team at The Crispin pub in Denmark Street are inviting people to celebrate with a beer festival that kicks off this Friday.
Austin Hamshere and Emily Ness are beginning their tenure with a four-day festival featuring 12 real ales.
Folk band Smokey Bastard will perform at 8.30pm in the pub on Saturday and all ale will be £2.50 a pint as the festival draws to a close on Monday.
Mr Hamshere said he was looking forward to the event. He said: “They’re a great band and we’re very lucky to get them and they’ve just got back off a tour of Ireland.
“We’ve got a great range of ales this weekend, with the majority a part of the LocAle campaign that promotes local brewers.”
